Nine in the third place

The centered one stays active and vigilant all day, and in the evening remains careful and watchful. The position is dangerous, yet there will be no mistake.

Classical (Legge)The superior man is active and vigilant all the day, and in the evening still careful and apprehensive. (The position is) dangerous, but there will be no mistake.

Nine in the fourth place

He leaps upward, yet remains over the deep. No mistake.

Classical (Legge)He is as if he were leaping up, but still in the deep. There will be no mistake.

The dragon flies through the sky. Seek out one of great character.

The dragon has flown too high. There will be cause for regret.
